Death is not a day
Jenelle Jindal, MD
Death is not a day
When the air expires
One last time
Limbs blue
Cold to touch
Stiffen
frozen forever
It happens
Quietly
Daily
With
Choices that
Contract
Skipping the reunion.
Taking the elevator.
Forgetting to give.
For when
Fear wins over curiosity
And we fail to see
the wonder of the world
In settles
Sadness.
May we choose to
Breathe deeply,
Love fully,
Explore wildly,
Each day.
